Why have I named myself Boat Show Girl?
I have been going to boat shows for the past 4 years now, ever since dipping my toes in the boating industry. My first show was Miami in 2013, and that’s when I had an epiphany, of which, I didn’t know what to do with until the last year.
There’s a different atmosphere at the boat shows– you’re surrounded by a lot of people who love the same thing as you, and when you’re deeply devoted to the industry like I am, you will feel right at home and happy.
While in those 4 years, I have purely gone for myself– learning new things and seeing what’s out there, experiencing the experience, picking up boat literature so I can write poetry, and finding useful things with brands/company names on it so that I can promote my favorites.
Now that I’m becoming more and more serious, I have decided it was time to take it to the next level, start a blog and get out there and see what happens.
What can you expect with Boat Show Girl?
My previous background and interests/hobbies are more on the pretty side—marketing, visual merchandising, writing—but my 3+ years of working in two service departments have allowed me to learn more of the technical side.
I plan on using all of my knowledge and coming up with something very unique that you won’t want to miss.
As of JULY 24, 2017 I have officially declared BoatShowGirl as a Pirate/Salt Life Lifestyle Blog (which includes all things salt water, personal experiences at the water/beaches, as well as the more important things in the industry).
